3. Sazkirin

3.1 Fueling the Chainsaw

The TB4218 uses a 2-cycle engine and requires a specific fuel mixture. Use fresh unleaded gasoline mixed with the provided 2-cycle engine oil at the ratio specified in the engine manual (typically 50:1 or 40:1). Always mix fuel in a separate, approved fuel container.

Correct chain tension is vital for safe and efficient operation. A new chain will stretch during the first few minutes of use and will require re-tensioning.

1. Ensure the engine is off and the chain brake is engaged.
2. Loosen the bar nuts slightly.
3. Adjust the tensioning screw until the chain fits snugly against the guide bar, but can still be pulled around by hand without binding.

5. Giring: Recheck chain tension after the first 15 minutes of operation with a new chain, and periodically thereafter.

Always maintain a stable stance and firm grip with both hands. Plan your cuts to avoid kickback and ensure the tree or limb falls safely.

• Felling: For felling trees, always make a notch cut first, followed by a felling cut from the opposite side.
• Limbing: Remove smaller branches first, working from the bottom up. Be aware of spring-loaded branches.
• Bûkkirin: Cut logs into shorter sections. Support the log to prevent pinching the bar.

4.3 Stopping the Chainsaw

To stop the engine, simply move the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. Engage the chain brake immediately after stopping the engine.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chainsaw. Always disconnect the spark plug wire before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Tûjkirina Zincîrê
